The equipment and energy segment designs and manufactures cryogenic and gas processing equipment for air separation; hydrocarbon recovery; and purification, natural gas liquefaction and helium distribution. The company has majority or wholly-owned foreign subsidiaries that operate in Canada, 17 European countries, 10 Asian countries and four Latin American countries. International subsidiaries include Air Products Asia, Air Products Europe and Air Products Japan. Recent acquisitions include Harvest Energy Technology, Inc. a developer of hydrogen generation technology; Goar, Allison & Associates Inc, a process engineering company, and a majority interest in CryoService Limited.
